Here is the Schedule cooked up for 2017.
Once again we paid careful attention to the mass of feedback we received from BlokeFest 2016 and have tried to simply make things a little bit better and a little more stuff and with less rushing around on the Friday night, even more catered food with salad and puddings!
All timings were merely for guidance and subject to alteration until after they actually happen! We had a fun filled few days planned out and some great opportunity to learn great new songs, meet new folks and celebrate life through the medium of song, ale and good company. |
Written pretty much on the back of a napkin, the official schedule looks something like this...
As with all BlokeFest plans, this more a statement of intent rather than a cast in stone to the precise minute but at the very least should give you an idea when the next Workshop session is, when you next get fed, or can nip off for a crafty pint when the bar is slightly less busy.
Friday
The clan gathers again to hail each other heartily and sup ale and munch some suitable substantial sustenance at our leisure. We will then be invoked to our first Workshop of the weekend to be led by James Sills, Spooky Man, multiple choir leader and top bloke. You will then be cajoled into taking part in some Pub Games to stop you drinking too quickly and no doubt some singing will break out in the pub but only for a bit until we all need to get our much needed beauty sleep. Pace yourself lads! |
Saturday
Traditionally there is a bit of a slow start as aching bones and sore heads are hauled from camp beds to gird their loins for a full day of singing Workshops. This year we will have the labour saving feature of "The BlokeFest Caf Specials" for a cooked brekie and healthy meusli & yoghurt on offer from the organisers. Singing workshops in the Blokefest Big Tent. Catered food will also be provided at lunch and evening meal. |
Sunday
"The BlokeFest Caf Specials" will return for Brekie to help get everyone started. Despite anticipation of an even slower start, Sunday's gathering will seek to maintain the pace with a fifth Singing Workshop principally to re-cap what have learnt over the last two days before dribbles out of our memories. This will be followed by some light(ish) sporting activity with the now traditional Tug o' War and other outdoor pub games. We will then hold a third "Tonsorial Titan Challenge", ie best face fuzz competition, this time with proper prizes. Then comes a bit of midday sustenance followed by official photographs we conclude with Parting songs before a final dispersing. |
