Kit List of Stuff for BlokeFest
Dear BlokeFest Attendee
Much of what you could want for the perfect weekend of MEN.SINGING.AND STUFF is laid on a proverbial plate for you, FOUR catered meals, and even breakfast for example! The songs, the bonhomie and camaraderie,the daft sports and games are fully laid on too, we only encourage all attending to remember these few things:
STUFF to remember for BlokeFest
Remember though, it is a three day marathon, NOT just a Friday night sprint, as one or two over enthusiastic attendees found to their cost last year...!
* - if you plan to bring a camper van or caravan please let us know in advance so we can know how many to anticipate. Also, please expect to be parked over the road unless we can make enough space in the campsite. We hope you understand.
** - if you plan to have the breakfast, let them know in advance - there will be food provided lunch and evening but breakfast is DIY or you can take advantage of Simon’s Specials - Blokefest Café - please email [email protected] to confirm your intentions so they can order accordingly.
More info on how to book a slot at the BlokeFest Cabaret shortly but hopefully everyone will get a turn or failing that a chance to sing in the pub.
Late Arrivals on Friday
Just so you know the Friday Evening Meal will be served from 18:30 to 19:30 only. Sorry we can't do any later because of certain logistical constraints - if you are traveling and going to arrive later then the last serving time then please make arrangements to eat on the way. Thanks for your understanding.
The BlokeFest 2016 MAN-ual is just having the final touches applied and will be made available to Registrants in advance of the even so you can print out your own copy. Printed copies of the words for the Workshop pieces will be provided at the Event.
It only remains to say to all Registrants, have a great weekend at BlokeFest 2016.

STUFF to remember for BlokeFest
- Yourself - and give yourself time to get there!
- Your registration confirmation - search in your email to re-find the e-ticket and either have it handy on your mobile device or print it out (no big deal if you can't we have ways and means of checking if you can at least identify yourself)
- Directions how to get there (click here and change your starting point)
- Somewhere to stay
- Tent – please check it is still working since last time you used it...
- Camper van – you will be ribbed about this (and let us know)*
- Caravan – you will be mercilessly ribbed about this (but still let us know) *
- Some local hotel or B & B (best keep quiet about this...)
- Some spending money – the Bruce takes cards but cash is good too and you will need that for the Breakfasts if you are buying in
- If Camping
Remember- Camping Kit – wash kit (yes, there are showers)
- Sleeping bag (you’d be surprised how many have forgotten) & sleeping mat
- Cooking Kit**
- Breakfast stuff**
- Snacks
- Ear plugs – for the almost inevitable “atmospheric camp site sounds”
- Snore Ring – to reduce the “Camp site sounds” (these are proving very popular with our sleeping partners at home, why not try it when sleeping away?)
- We feed you, you don't need to
This year you can be pretty much totally catered for all the meals so you don't need to lug cooking kit. There is breakfast being offered by Young Mr Grier but please pre-book, see the BlokeFest 2016 Food Page for all the details. - Camping Seat or similar for the BlokeFest Cabaret
- Hat & Sun cream in case it is sunny
- A sense of humour - a philosophy for life... bring it along just in case, you never know when you might need it
- A readiness to have a great time - which will carry on till late Sunday afternoon so please plan so you don't have to scarper away and miss out
